Author: Henrique Cymerman.
The Centro Sefarad-Israel presents this afternoon at 6 p.m. the book Conversando con el enemigo (Conversing with the Enemy), by Henrique Cymerman, in an event in which he will be accompanied by the journalist Pedro Piqueras.
Conversando con el enemigo invites us on an exciting journey through the Middle East to delve into its conflicts through the eyes of decisive figures in a wide range of fields – Israeli and Palestinian leaders, Arab sheikhs and football stars – all approached from a historical and at the same time personal point of view. Henrique Cymerman recounts his experience of geopolitical negotiations, international conspiracies and private conversations, such as those with Pope Francis. A demonstration of the power of dialogue, discretion and diplomacy.
From Porto to Abu Dhabi, via Tel Aviv, Cymerman shares his childhood memories, his journalistic career and his decision to emigrate to Israel. This book deals with recent history with a reflection full of humanity and hope.
Admission is free, subject to prior confirmation via this link. The event can also be followed live on Centro Sefarad-Israel’s YouTube channel, at this link.
