On Sunday 13 November at 7 p.m. the Instituto Cultural Rumano presents the concert Romania – between classical and folk, a journey through sacred and secular music performed by the Arpeggio choir from Italy on its European tour, at the Basílica Pontificia San Miguel in Madrid (Calle San Justo, 4).
After the success at the Roots Fest in summer, the choir returns to the stage together with Andreea Chira (pan flute) and conductor Gian Luigi Zampieri (in the photo) and their third performance of the tour will take place in the Spanish capital. The concert programme contains famous pieces from the a cappella choral repertoire, but also arrangements for choir, organ and pan flute by maestro Gian Luigi Zampieri.
The concert is organised in collaboration with ARPRO Associazione Culturale, under the auspices of the Romanian Embassy and the National Choral Association of Romania (ANCR), in a project funded by the Departamentul pentru Romanii de Pretuntindeni. Free admission until full capacity is reached.
