The Instituto Francés of Madrid continues its participation in the 27th edition of LesGaiCineMad, the LGTBIQA+ film festival in Madrid, with the screening this evening at 8pm of Les meilleures, the first feature film directed by Marion Desseigne Ravel. Screening in French with Spanish subtitles.
The film tells the love story between Zina and Nedjma, two young girls in a neighbourhood where everyone knows everyone else, and where moving away from the group and conformism is soon seen as a real betrayal. In this environment, the director captures the power of emotions, the surprising, exciting and disturbing birth of deeper feelings and the questioning of these young people about their own identity, in a world that amplifies everything on social networks.
