The latest film by director Álex de la Iglesia, El cuarto pasajero (The fourth passenger), starring Blanca Suárez, Alberto San Juan, Ernesto Alterio and Rubén Cortada, and scripted by De la Iglesia and Jorge Guerricaechevarría, has opened in cinemas.
Julián (Alberto San Juan), a 50-year-old divorced man, uses a famous app to share his car with strangers and, in particular, with someone who is no longer a stranger: Lorena (Blanca Suárez), a young woman who often travels to Madrid. For months she has had a fixed seat in his car and lately also in his heart. Julián wants to take advantage of the trip to come clean with her, but in a mistake when choosing the rest of the occupants (Ernesto Alterio and Rubén Cortada) he includes a passenger (perhaps the most unbearable individual in the world) who will cause a radical change in the course of events.
Delirious, entertaining and well made, this latest film by the director from Bilbao, who, as in all his releases, leaves no spectator indifferent. An almost impossible script full of nonsensical witticisms that make the spectator laugh.
