The music of Queen returns with the show ‘We will rock you’

October 27, 2022
in Entertainment, Espectáculos, Leisure

Until 8 January 2023, the second season of the musical We will rock you is coming to the Gran Teatro CaixaBank Príncipe Pío in Madrid, to enjoy the music of the group Queen, with more rock than ever and with impressive singers and lighting design on stage.

After being premiered in 19 countries, and seen by more than 16 million spectators, it returns with its 2nd season with a renewed format and a novelty with respect to then, and to the rest of the musicals of the season: the songs will be performed in English. Although the music is part of the story, the national production has decided not to make any translations or adaptations and the songs will be performed in their original form.

Guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor are again co-producers of the show as they were 20 years ago. The story of the show is set in a dystopian future where music has been banned. Killer Queen is responsible for a society where everyone is equal, any display of originality or artistic creation is punished. But there are some rebels who defy repression while awaiting the arrival of the Dreamer, Galileo, a leader who will make possible the return of music through rock and will play a decisive role in restoring freedom.
