The diplomat Ramón Moreno is the new Secretary General of the Spain-Asia and Australia Council Foundations, replacing José Leandro Consarnau.

Specifically, Ramón Moreno will be the Secretary General of the Spain-China, Spain-Japan, Spain-India and Spain-Australia Council Foundations.

A diplomat since 1988, Ramón Moreno was until a few weeks ago Spain’s ambassador to Cameroon and has extensive experience in the Asian world, as between 2012 and 2017 he was director of Casa Asia, as well as having held, between 2009 and 2011, the second position at the Spanish Embassy in New Delhi.

In addition, he has held various positions related to Protocol, both in the Ministry of the Presidency and in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was Deputy Director General of Travel and Official Visits, Ceremonial and Orders. He has also been, among other things, ‘number two’ at the Embassies in Mozambique and Nicaragua, Deputy Consul General in Milan and Counsellor at the Spanish Embassy to the Holy See.
