The Diplomat
The Ambassador of Ecuador, Andrés Vallejo, has held an institutional meeting with the Mayor of Pamplona, Enrique Maya, with whom he discussed the situation of the Ecuadorian community living in the capital of Navarre, which numbers 5,500 citizens.
The ambassador attended the meeting together with the honorary consul, Alvaro Balibrea, and the first secretary of the Embassy, Francisco Chiriboga Higgins.
As part of his visit, the diplomat also met with the directors of the Clínica Universidad de Navarra, specifically with Joseba Campos, General Director, and Jesús San Miguel, Medical Director, with whom he toured the facilities. There he had the opportunity to greet the Ecuadorian doctor, Esteban Tamariz, a specialist in haematology.
Andrés Vallejo then met with the Ecuadorian patients who receive treatment at this institution, through the international agreement it has with the Ecuadorian Ministry of Public Health, the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute (IESS) and the Police Social Security Institute (ISSPOL).
