This evening, at 7 p.m., the opening of the series of debates on the invasion of Ukraine: culture, fake news and the road to peace, co-organised by the Instituto Polaco de Cultura and the Fundación Carlos de Amberes, will take place. The series aims to address the current crisis situation in Ukraine and throughout Europe as a result of Russia’s unjustified invasion.
The debates will take place on 18 October, 3 and 17 November, at 7 p.m., in the Auditorium of the Fundación Carlos de Amberes (Calle de Claudio Coello, 99, Madrid).
This first debate, entitled Cultural cooperation in international relations and its role in crisis situations in the context of the aggression against Ukraine, will include the participation of Prof. Rafał Wiśniewski, Director of the National Centre for Culture in Poland (NCK), Professor at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW), and José Manuel Rodríguez Uribes, Permanent Delegate Ambassador of Spain to UNESCO, former Minister of Culture and Sport in the Government of Spain. The round table will be moderated by José María Faraldo, historian, professor at the UCM and expert on Central and Eastern European cultures. At the end of the event there will be a tasting of Polish and Ukrainian gastronomic products. Free entrance until full capacity is reached.
