Author: Petar Bojanic.
In a journey that leads from Hegel to Walter Benjamin, via Emmanuel Levinas and, in particular, Franz Rosenzweig, the Centro Sefarad-Israel presents this evening at 6 p.m. the book Violence and Messianism, which attempts to answer the question of the relationship between violence and the institutionalisation of peace and justice. Face-to-face and online activity.
The author, Petar Bojanic, will present the work, accompanied by Roberto Navarrete, professor at the Complutense University of Madrid.
Inspired by the deconstruction of Jacques Derrida, his disciple Petar Bojanic presents a suggestive interpretation of some fundamental texts and notions of an extraordinary group of 20th century Jewish thinkers on the problems of war and violence, love and the enemy, pacifism, sacrifice and victory. Admission is free, subject to confirmation via this link. The event can also be followed live on Centro Sefarad-Israel’s YouTube channel here.
