Casa Árabe, with the participation of LaLiga, is opening the exhibition Football for Hope at its headquarters in Madrid this evening at 7.30pm.
The exhibition is a project by Ofelia De Pablo and Javier Zurita for Casa Árabe, created with the aim of recognising the power of football as a tool to achieve inclusive societies. The two organisations have signed a collaboration agreement to promote the values of sport and give visibility to Arab culture.
The Football for Hope project will be developed during the autumn, coinciding with the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. The programme includes professional meetings, talks, exhibitions, cinema and outdoor sports and leisure activities, among other proposals. The events will take place in different locations, including Madrid and Cordoba, where the institution has its two headquarters. The agreement reinforces LaLiga’s commitment to its development in the Middle East and North Africa region, one of the cornerstones of its international expansion. Since 2014, LaLiga has had a permanent office in Dubai, as well as a permanent international academy in the United Arab Emirates, inaugurated a year later.
