From 4 to 12 October Hispanidad 2022 returns, the cultural event that celebrates Hispanic language and culture, which in its second edition will be held in almost 50 public venues in the Community of Madrid and for the first time will be extended to Catalonia, at the Teatro Apolo in Barcelona.
The event will feature an extensive programme of more than 100 free activities, such as exhibitions, workshops, recitals, gastronomic events, theatrical performances and concerts, including a performance by a renowned Latin artist on 9 October at the emblematic Puerta de Alcalá.
For the first time, the cultural programme of Hispanidad 2022 will include two guest regions, such as Ceuta and Melilla, and will feature Mexico as the main country. In this regard, institutions from the North American country in Spain, such as Casa de México, will present different workshops and activities based on the emblematic altar of the dead, one of the fundamental elements of Mexican tradition, and the life and work of the artist Frida Kahlo.
