The Council of Ministers yesterday authorised a voluntary contribution of 30,000,000 euros to the Adaptation Fund of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.
The Adaptation Fund allocates its resources to specific projects and programmes for adaptation to climate change in developing countries, particularly those that are most vulnerable to the adverse effects of climate change. Spain has supported this fund since its inception in 2007 and is a member of its Governing Board.
