The Spanish government yesterday expressed its “firm” condemnation of the “massacre” discovered in the mass grave in the recently liberated Ukrainian city of Izium, where 440 bodies have been found, following the withdrawal of Russian troops.
In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Spain calls for “respect for international law and international humanitarian law and the investigation of the crimes committed”.
“The death of these people must not go unpunished,” the statement said.
