The Iraqi ambassador to Spain, Adel Mustafa Kamil Alkurdi, has ended his stay in our country, according to sources from the diplomatic representation.

Adel Mustafa Kamil Alkurdi arrived in Spain in the second half of 2019 and presented Letters of Credence to His Majesty the King on 27 November 2021. Following his departure from Spain, which took place in mid-summer, it is not yet known who will replace him in the post.

Recently, at the end of August, the Spanish government issued a communiqué in which it called for a halt to the violence and a return to dialogue following the clashes in Iraq, which had resulted in the deaths of some twenty people.
