Nicola Lagioia, one of today’s leading Italian writers, returns to Spain on 16 and 17 September to give two extraordinary encounters in Madrid, at the Italian Institute of Culture, and in Segovia, on the occasion of the Hay Festival.
Under the auspices of the Italian Embassy, in collaboration with Hay Festival Segovia and on the occasion of the recent publication of his latest novel La città dei vivi (Einaudi) / La ciudad de los vivos (Penguin Random House Grupo Editorial), tomorrow Friday the Instituto de Cultura Italiano in Madrid is organising a meeting with Nicola Lagioia, director of the Turin International Book Fair and jury member of the Venice Film Festival, at 8 p.m. The meeting will be moderated by the director of the IIC Madrid, Marialuisa Pappalardo. Lagioia will discuss his work as a writer and, since 2016, director of the largest Italian book fair, the Salone Internazionale del Libro de Torino. Free admission by reservation at iicmadrid@esteri.ti, indicating “16 September” in the subject line.
The Italian writer will also participate next Saturday at 18.10 at IE University in Segovia, in a meeting with the Spanish journalist Manuel Jabois, an event dedicated to “reality and fiction” and also presented by the director Marialuisa Pappalardo.
