The new Kenyan Ambassador to Spain. Michael Oyugi, has delivered his Copies of the Letters of Credence to the Deputy Director of Chancellery of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Carlos Lucini.

Oyugi, who replaces Richard Angulu Opembe, arrived in Madrid on the 10th and the following day went to the Ministry to hand over the aforementioned Style Copies. In addition, during his first days in Madrid, he met with the ambassadors of other African countries, such as Ghana, Senegal, Sudan, Mauritania and Mozambique.

Michael was until his appointment Director of Consular and Diaspora Affairs at the Kenyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, after having been, between 2013 and 2018, Kenya’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations International Organisations in Vienna.

A graduate in Diplomatic Protocol from the Diplomatic Academy of the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Internationales in Paris, the new ambassador also holds a degree in International Relations and French Language from the University of Nairobi (Kenya) and speaks five languages, including Spanish.
