Contemporary art from Peru at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes

July 20, 2022
in Culture & Art, Leisure

Until 6 August, the Fundación Carlos de Amberes, the Embassy of Peru and Veranos de la Villa present the exhibition 12+10: contemporary art from Peru, a unique opportunity to discover important Peruvian artists from the current art scene.

The exhibition consists of a selection of creators who bear witness to the modernity and artistic innovation of this country and covers themes of great current relevance such as the feminist struggle, the class struggle or sexual and gender roles. 12+10: Contemporary Art from Peru brings the work of 12 internationally renowned Peruvian artists, whose works have been exhibited in important art centres such as the MoMA in New York, the Reina Sofia Museum or the ARCO Fair in Madrid, and who come from important Spanish galleries.

Sandra Gamarra, Fernando Bryce, Sergio Zevallos, Daniela Ortiz, Miguel Aguirre, Jorge Cabieses, Aldo Chaparro and José Vera Matos, Jimena Kato and Daniel Jacoby, María María Acha-Kutscher and Andrea Cánepa leave no visitor indifferent with their most eloquent creations, created using a wide range of supports, media and materials, which reinforce the notion of cultural richness and languages of these multidisciplinary artists of Peruvian origin.
