This afternoon at 6 p.m., the Centro Sefarad-Israel opens the exhibition If nature is the answer, what was the question?, which takes a look at the legacy of the researcher and writer with Jewish roots, Jorge Wagensberg. Free admission until full capacity is reached. The exhibition will be open until 9 September.
“His aphorisms, his revolutionary thoughts, his teachings, his intelligent sense of humour, are for the sculptor Agnes Rodon (creator of the exhibition), provocations to think and reflect, to transform oneself personally and artistically, and at the same time to travel to a space full of reflections. Reflections that flood his work, challenging the image we have of ourselves, in order to make us grow”.
Jorge Wagensberg (Barcelona, 1948-2018) was a writer, researcher and professor of Irreversible Process Theory at the University of Barcelona. He was also a dynamic animator of the debate of ideas, which earned him, among others, the National Prize for Scientific Thought and Culture in Catalonia. In his work he dealt with different disciplines of science such as thermodynamics, mathematics, biophysics, microbiology, palaeontology, entomology, scientific museology and the philosophy of science.
