With the support of Swiss Films, the Swiss Embassy recommends the new film by Swiss director Stefan Jäger, La fotógrafa de Monte Veritá (Monte Veritá), a period drama set in Monte Verità, the first hippie commune in history, a place where artists and intellectuals of the time (early 20th century) shared their time.
1906, a young mother, Hanna, feels how she is drowning in her corseted role and her social limitations. She flees to Monte Verità, where she discovers the idyllic nature of the canton of Ticino and dares to dedicate herself, body and soul, courageously to art. Hanna is faced with a painful decision: will she be able to return to her family without giving up herself?
The film will be released on 5 August and stars Maresi Riegner, Max Hubacher, Julia Jentsch and Hannah Herzsprung, among others.
