The Círculo de Bellas Artes presents the Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho

June 10, 2022
in Entertainment, Leisure

Next Sunday, the Círculo de Bellas Artes presents the Korean pianist Seong-Jin Cho in concert at the Teatro Fernando de Rojas at 7 pm.

Born in Seoul in 1994, Seong-Jin Cho is already an idol in his country. Since winning the Warsaw Chopin Youth Prize in 2008, Seong-Jin has attracted the attention of the piano world, which finally surrendered to his means and talent when seven years later, in 2015, he won the same prize but in the absolute category, one of the highest distinctions on the international circuit. In between, the Korean had won prizes in such demanding competitions as the Tchaikovsky in Moscow and the Rubinstein in Tel Aviv. It was from that 2015 triumph that his exclusive contract with Deutsche Grammophon arrived, where he has been releasing one album a year, in which he has made his musical preferences clear: Chopin, of course, but also Debussy, Mozart and Schubert. Immortal classics. The concert will feature pieces by Georg Friedrich Händel, Johannes Brahms and Maurice Ravel. Tickets can be purchased here.
