In the Mexican scene, indie music made its presence felt in the late nineties, consolidating itself in cities like Monterrey and Mexico City. Nowadays, indie music is the star of the best rock festivals in the country (Vive Latino, Corona Capital, Tecate Peninsula or NRMAL) and represents one of the freshest movements in the Mexican music scene.
