Around 60 ministers in the field of digitalisation will meet in Gran Canaria during the next Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Digital Economy Ministerial Conference, which will take place between 13 and 16 December in Gran Canaria.
This was confirmed yesterday by the First Vice-President and Minister for Economic Affairs, Nadia Calviño, whose department is working on the event through the Secretary of State for Digitalisation and Artificial Intelligence and together with the Government of the Canary Islands and the OECD.
In total, ministerial delegations participating in the Conference are expected to come from OECD member countries, the European Union, the United States, Japan, Mexico, Brazil and Canada, among others.
The Conference, on which there will be a programme of events on different islands throughout the year, will be held centrally between 13 and 16 December in the municipalities of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and San Bartolomé de Tirajana.
