The Asociación de Periodistas Europeos (APE), together with the General Secretariat for Defence Policy of the Ministry of Defence, is organising the 34th International Seminar on Security and Defence, Russian aggression awakens NATO and the EU, on 22 and 23 June at the Parador Nacional de Toledo.
On the 40th anniversary of Spain’s accession to NATO, the summit of NATO Heads of State and Government will be held in Madrid on 29 and 30 June. NATO Secretary General Jens Stolbenberg boasts that the summit will serve to “adopt NATO’s next strategic concept, which will reflect the new security environment, recommit us to our values and affirm our unity, ensuring that our alliance is fit for the future”.
The opening session will take place on the 22nd at 9.30 a.m. and will be given by Admiral Juan Francisco Martínez Núñez, Secretary General for Defence Policy (SEGENPOL); Juan Alfonso Ruiz Molina, Minister of Finance and Public Administration of Castilla-La Mancha; Diego Carcedo, President of the APE, and Miguel Ángel Aguilar, Secretary General of the APE.
