Eurostars Hotel Company has signed an agreement to take over the management, from next July, of three hotels in Slovenia that until now Equinox operated directly under the Union Hotels Collection brand.
The Hotusa Group hotel company said in a statement that the operation has been advised by Cushman & Wakefield, and includes the Grand Hotel Union, the U Hotel and the Lev, all four-star hotels located in the country’s capital, Ljubljana. In total, they add up to 566 rooms.
The president of the Hotusa Group, Amancio López, pointed out that it is “a source of pride and a challenge” to enter the Slovenian market, “a country dedicated to a sector, tourism, which accounts for more than 12% of its GDP”.
López believes that the characteristics of the destination, with a “strategic” geographical location, natural and cultural “attractions” and “excellent” connectivity with Central Europe and the Balkans, together with the chain’s vast experience in managing emblematic and historic hotels, will help them to “make this ambitious project a success in every way”.
