The CinePOLSKA: Lem Universe exhibition comes to an end this evening at 6 p.m. at the Planetario de Madrid with a very special event.
The event’s programme includes speeches by Anna Sroka, Ambassador of Poland; Telmo Fernández, Director of the Planetario de Madrid, and Gabriela Słowińska, Director of the Instituto Polaco de Cultura. In the second part of the evening, the cult film The Pirx Pilot Test, directed by M. Piestrak in 1978, will be screened.
This last session crowns a many-month cycle of presentations of various film adaptations of books, stories and ideas by Stanisław Lem (the most brilliant mind of the 20th century) produced by Polish filmmakers and representing various film genres. To date it has covered up to 15 Spanish cities: Barcelona, Madrid, Murcia, Cordoba, Granada, Almeria, Seville, Salamanca, Santander, Navarra, Valencia, Zaragoza, San Sebastian, Las Palmas de Gran Canaria and Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Organised in collaboration with the Polish Film Institute (PISF) and the regional delegations of the Filmoteca Española, the project of the Polish Institute in Madrid thus concludes the Lem Universe project organised on the occasion of the Year of LEM established by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland in 2021. To attend the event, which is free of charge, it is necessary to make a reservation at this link.
