The Asociación Multisectorial de Mujeres Directivas y Empresarias (AMMDE) will present the AMMDE Awards for Defence and Security 2022 tomorrow, Tuesday, from 18.30 hours, at the Escuela de Guerra del Ejército (Calle Santa Cruz de Marcenado, 25, Madrid).
The awards will be presented to Patricia Ortega García, Major General of the Corps of Polytechnic Engineers of the Spanish Army, Secretary General of the National Institute of Aerospace Technology (INTA) and first female General of the Spanish Army, AMMDE Defence and Security 2022 award for “Woman of Reference”; and Silvia Gil Cerdá, Lieutenant Colonel, Head of the Civil Guard Headquarters in Teruel and the first woman to head a Civil Guard Headquarters, AMMDE Defence and Security 2022 award for “Professional Career”.
Those present will be welcomed by Irene Navarro Álvarez, AMMDE National President, and María de las Nieves Chillón Sánchez, AMMDE Director of Defence and Security and Treasurer of the AMMDE Board of Directors. On the occasion of the NATO Summit, a round table discussion will be held entitled Women’s leadership in the face of defence and security challenges. Carlota García Encina, Senior Researcher at the Real Instituto Elcano, will speak as moderator, along with the two award winners and Belén García Molano, VP Director of Technology at AIRBUS DEFENSA Y ESPACIO; Marina Rodríguez Díaz, Commissioner and Head of the Cybersecurity and Fight against Disinformation Unit of the Department of National Security; and Hana Jalloul Muro, PhD in International Relations and expert in terrorism, Member of the Assembly of Madrid and Secretary of International Policy and Development Cooperation of the PSOE.
