From 11 June to 19 December this year, the Instituto Cultural Rumano in Madrid is organising the 12th Romanian Film Festival, under the auspices of the Romanian Embassy.
Film fans in Madrid, Barcelona, Valencia, Seville, Zaragoza, Oviedo and Santander will be able to see a selection of 6 recent films, diverse in both form and theme, award-winning and signed, among others, by great names of the “New Wave of Romanian Cinema”, such as Radu Jude or Radu Muntean.
This year’s films, presented as always in the original version with English subtitles, are Întregalde, directed by Radu Muntean; Babardeală cu bucluc sau porno balamuc/ Un polvo desafortunado o porno loco, directed by Radu Jude; Crai Nou/ Blue Moon, directed by Alina Grigore; Imaculat/ Immaculate, directed by Monica Stan and George Chiper-Lillemark; După 40 de zile/ No Rest for the Old Lady, with director Andrei Gruzsniczki, and finally Câmp de maci/ Poppy Field, directed by Eugen Jebeleanu.
