The Theatre of the Instituto Francés in Madrid is holding this evening at 19.30 the conference Polar Worlds: Explorations and Challenges, with the participation of Jérôme Chappellaz (in the photo) and Carlota Escutia Dotti, two prominent scientists from France and Spain, who are very involved in polar research at international level and who have travelled to these areas of extreme conditions. Event in Spanish and French with simultaneous interpretation.
Antarctica and the Arctic are mythical, remote and inhospitable regions, privileged witnesses of climate change. In the framework of the French Presidency of the Council of the European Union, and following the publication on 5 April of the first French Polar Strategy 2030, participants will share their research and experience, and present the contributions and current challenges of polar scientific research. Pre-registration is compulsory, access until full capacity is reached.
