The Instituto Francés presents Charline Mignot, aka ‘Vendredi sur Mer’

May 3, 2022
in Leisure

The Independance Club (Calle Atocha, 127) will host the first performance in Spain of the young Swiss musician Charline Mignot, aka “Vendredi sur Mer”, by the producer @cero.en.conducta, as part of the Escenas francesas 2022 cultural season of the Instituto Francés of Spain.

The event will take place on Friday 6 May at 20:00. You can book your place at this link.

Paradoxically, one can sometimes feel that the electro-pop of Vendredi sur Mer is tinged with a sparkling and mischievous touch, revealing a music then full of innocence and lightness. Charline Mignot, also known as “Vendredi sur Mer”, is a young Swiss musician who developed since her childhood a very personal point of view on the world around her.

After releasing three titles in three years, the buzz around her project has continued to grow. Vendredi sur Mer presented her first EP Marée Basse, a six-song format with the participation of Lewis OfMan on the production side, with whom the young artist enjoyed working. With Serge Gainsbourg, Étienne Daho and French rap lyrics (Orelsan, Nekfeu) as her heritage, her first EP highlights her thirst for storytelling in music.
