Europe en Suma is organising a series of debates for tomorrow Wednesday at 6 p.m. The first session is entitled After Ukraine, what? and will be presented in the library of the Fundación José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón (Calle Fortuny, 53).
The lecture series will be opened by Pascual Ignacio Navarro, Secretary of State for the EU; Lucía Sala, Director of the José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañón Foundation, and Juan Cuesta, President of Europa en Suma.
The event will be moderated by the journalist and Vice-President of Europa en Suma, Enrique Peris, and the speakers at this first debate will be José Enrique de Ayala, Brigadier in the Reserve, former head of the European Army Corps; Ruth Ferrero Turrión, Professor of Political Science and European Studies at the UCM and researcher at the Complutense Institute of International Studies; Cristina Manzano, Director of the digital media ESGLOBAL, and Alberto Navarro, diplomat at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in European affairs and cooperation.
Europa en Suma aims to shed light on the new coordinates in which defence, security, the economy, energy, research and food will have to move from now on, as a contribution to the initiatives that the Spanish Presidency of the Council of the European Union will have to launch for the second half of 2023. The aim is to debate and contribute ideas for the agenda of the Spanish Presidency.
