His Majesty the King will receive the Foreign Policy Association (FPA) Medal in New York on Thursday 26th, which recognises individuals who demonstrate “responsible internationalism and work to expand public understanding of international affairs”.
The award will be presented to Don Felipe at a dinner to be held by the association at the Harvard Club in New York.
Among the recipients of the Medal are Michael Bloomberg, former Mayor of New York; Jean-Claude Trichet, former President of the European Central Bank; and Anne-Marie Slaughter, former Dean of the Woodrow Wilson School of Public and International Affairs at Princeton University.
The FPA is a century-old association whose goal is to “serve as a catalyst for developing awareness, understanding, and informed opinion” on US foreign policy and global issues through “balanced, non-partisan programs and publications” that engage citizens in the foreign policy process.
