On 19 May at 19.30, the Fundación Excelentia presents the virtuoso pianist Andrei Gugnin, the Santa Cecilia Classical Orchestra and the baton of Daniel Raiskin, who will perform Rachmaninov’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra No. 3 and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No. 5 at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

The Russian pianist, Andrey Gugnin, is a performer who in 2016 won the prestigious Sydney International Piano Competition, and received the Gold Medal and Audience Award at the XCI International Gina Bachauer Piano Competition in 2014 and second prize at the 2013 International Beethoven Piano Competition in Vienna. In addition to numerous celebrated CD releases, his recording of Shostakovich’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Moscow Chamber Orchestra was included in Steven Speilberg’s Oscar-winning film The Bridge of Spies. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
