His Majesty the King will receive the Letters of Credence of a group of new ambassadors to Spain on 19 May, The Diplomat has learned.

Specifically, the ambassadors of Mali, Abdrahamane Baby; Moldova, Eugeniu Revenco; Greece, Ilias Fotopoulos; Ecuador, Andrés Vallejo; and Romania, George Bologan, are expected to come to the Royal Palace to present their Letters of Credence to the head of state.

All of them have been in their posts for the last two or three months, having submitted the Copies of their Letter of Credence to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

On the same day, the King will also receive the new head of the Palestinian Mission in Madrid, Husni Abdel Wahed, who has the rank of ambassador, but who, not being a state recognised by Spain, cannot present Letters of Credence.

Husni Abdel Wahed, who took up his post at the end of March, will present the monarch with a message from the President of the Palestinian Authority, Mahmoud Abbas.

The last two ceremonies for the presentation of Letters of Credence took place on 13 January and 2 February.
