In the framework of Madrid Piano Days, the Instituto Francés of Madrid presents tomorrow Thursday at 8 pm the concert of the artist Charles-Baptiste.
Before becoming a variety singer, Charles-Baptiste was the winner of the first piano prize at the conservatoire. According to the newspaper Libération, “this young French-Caribbean is in the midst of a bittersweet interrogation on a screeching background of electronic pop-r’n’b”.
Noted for his French adaptation of Daft Punk’s super hit Get Lucky, which went viral, singer-songwriter Charles-Baptiste released his first album in 2014, boosted by his single Aussi cool que toi, which earned him the title of “coolest variety singer” by Les Inrocks. Currently in the midst of recording his new album at the legendary Ferber Studios in Paris, this artist is in Madrid in an intimate format conducive to exchange and trust, both for original songs and tributes: solo piano-vocal.
