His Majesty the King received yesterday at the Zarzuela Palace a delegation of around twenty Chilean businessmen, led by the President of Chile’s main employers’ association, Juan Sutil.
The audience was also attended by the President of the CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, who yesterday took part in a meeting of the Spain-Chile Business Council, which was also attended by the Spanish Minister of Industry, Trade and Tourism, Reyes Maroto.
The Spanish employers’ association is taking part in a meeting with a delegation from the Chilean Confederation of Production and Trade (CPC), the aim of which is to promote bilateral investment, as they explained to the King, with whom they also discussed the state of economic and trade relations between Spain and Chile.
Just two months ago, Don Felipe travelled to the South American country to attend the inauguration of its new Chilean president, Gabriel Boric.
Among the Chilean executives present at the audience offered by the King were the President of the Spain-Chile Business Council, Andrés Montero; the Director of the International Bank, Carolina Cuevas; and the President of the Santiago Chamber of Commerce, María Teresa Vial.
The Chilean employers’ association brings together companies from the country’s main productive sectors, including commerce, agriculture, banking, mining and industry.
Throughout the week, the CPC delegation will hold a series of meetings, some of them outside Madrid, in cities such as Seville and Jerez de la Frontera.
