Double recital by the young pianist (16 years old) María Hanneman that the Fundación Casa de México in Spain presents tomorrow and the day after at 7.30 pm at its headquarters in Calle Alberto Aguilera, 20, an intimate, family reunion, performing pieces by Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Prokofiev, Rodríguez de la Peña, Manuel M. Ponce and Rachmaninov.
María Hanneman was born on 27 March 2006. From the age of 3 she began to show her talent on the piano and received several prizes at a very early age at various music festivals in Mexico, Peru and Costa Rica. At the age of 9 she decided to continue her studies at the National Conservatory of Music. In 2018 she won second place in her category at the First José Cuervo Petrof International Piano Competition in Tequila, Jalisco. She closed that year playing in New York, at the BMTG Intercontinental Piano Competition winners competition at Carnegie Hall in Steinway Hall. She won first place in her category at the “2020 International Music Competition Salzburg Grand Prize Virtuoso”, playing at the awards gala at the Mozarteum in Salzburg, Austria.
Maria Hanneman writes about her presence at the Mexican institution: “In these difficult times the world has been living through, being safe at home has been essential to take care of ourselves.
