As part of the series of lectures by Hispanists from Asia-Pacific of Casa Asia and the Instituto Cervantes, the seventh webcast, entitled The historical background of Hispanism in Afghanistan, will be held on Thursday 21 April at 10 am, by Abdul Naser Noorzad (in the photo), former professor of the Spanish language department at the University of Kabul.
In this lecture, Hispanism and its historical course in Afghanistan will be discussed. In addition, the teaching of Spanish in such a complex context as Afghanistan, the interest of Afghan youth in learning it and how it has been affected by the arrival of the Taliban to power will be addressed.
Carmen Noguero, Secretary General of the Instituto Cervantes, and Javier Parrondo, Director General of Casa Asia will welcome the attendees and Rafael Bueno, Director of Politics, Society and Educational Programmes, Casa Asia, will present the event. 24 hours before the event, those registered will receive the necessary information to access the event.
