The Diplomat
The new Ambassador of Brazil to Spain, Orlando Leite Ribeiro, delivered last Monday his Copies of Letters of Credence to the Head of Protocol, María Sebastián de Erice, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Orlando Ribeiro’s appointment was approved last December 15 by the Brazilian Senate by 43 votes in favor, 5 against and 2 abstentions.
The new Brazilian ambassador, who replaces Pompeu Andreucci Neto, entered the Diplomatic Career in 1993, in which he follows a long family tradition as he is the son and grandson of diplomats.
He was currently Secretary of State for Trade and International Relations at the Ministry of Agriculture. He has also served in the Ministry of Economy as a member of the Executive Committee of the Chamber of Foreign Trade and of the Export Financing Committee.
Ambassador Orlando Ribeiro will present his Letters of Credence to King Felipe VI at a forthcoming ceremony, the date of which is yet to be confirmed.
