Spain yesterday “firmly” condemned the recent terrorist attacks in Israel in Beersheba, Hadera and Bnei Brak.

In a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Spanish government expresses its condemnation of the “unjustifiable” attacks perpetrated in recent days in the aforementioned Israeli towns.

On Tuesday, four people were killed in a shooting attack in Bnei Brak, on the southern outskirts of Tel Aviv, in what was the third attack in the last week, bringing the number of civilians killed to eleven. On Sunday there was an attack with two deaths in the city of Hadera, while last week four people were killed in the city of Beersheva.

In addition to condemning the attack, Spain expresses its condolences to the families of the victims and wishes a “speedy recovery to the wounded”.

The communiqué ends by stating: “We also express our solidarity and support for Israel in the fight against terrorism.

Spain’s condemnation is in addition to that issued by the European Union, which in another communiqué also expressed its “strong condemnation” of the terrorist attacks and described such events against the civilian population as “unacceptable”.
