La Filarmónica brings pianists Martha Argerich and Nelson Goerner to Madrid
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The Sociedad de Conciertos La Filarmónica presents the pianists Martha Argerich and Nelson Goerner in concert at the Auditorio Nacional de Música de Madrid on Sunday 3 April at 19.30.

These two piano virtuosos will perform Mozart, with the Sonata for two pianos in D major, K. 448/375th; Debussy, with En blanc et noir pour deux pianos, and Rachmaninov, with his Symphonic Dances for two pianos, op. 45b.

Martha Argerich and Nelson Goerner share many affinities, some natural and some chosen. Both were born in Buenos Aires, are neighbours in Geneva, and form the greatest piano duo of today. Ever since Martha heard Nelson play, when he was still a very young pianist, she took an interest in him and helped him to continue his studies in Europe. Friendship, admiration and respect that translate into truly wonderful concerts. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
