A young dilettante writer receives a strange assignment: to travel to a remote part of Asturias to meet a recently retired ambassador and write his memoirs, although his real mission will be to find out about the scandal discovered by the diplomat during his time at the Moncloa and kept secret ever since.
This first work by Javier Garrigues, published by Cuadernos del Laberinto, is a mixture of intrigue, autofiction and anti-memoir, which sheds a peculiar light on the diplomatic world, described with lucidity and irony by this old ambassador to the young stranger.
