La Filarmónica Concert Society presents the conductor Teodor Currentzis (in the photo) conducting the SWR Stuttgart Symphony Orchestra and the viola of Antoine Tamestit on Wednesday 30th March at 19.30 at the Auditorio Nacional de Música in Madrid.

The Stuttgart SWR Symphony Orchestra and Teodor Currentzis informed La Filarmónica of a new programme for this concert. The new proposal combines works by a Ukrainian, a German and a Russian composer. The orchestra and the conductor want to respond to the current situation and make “a musical appeal for peace and harmony”.

The concert programme includes Oleksandr Shchetynsky’s Glosolalia for orchestra, Jörg Widmann’s Concerto for viola and orchestra, and Dmitri Shostakovich’s Symphony No. 5 in D minor op. 47. Tickets can be purchased here.
