From 24-26 March, the capital of Uzbekistan will host the First Tashkent International Investment Forum (TIFF). According to Uzbekistan’s Ministry of Investment and Foreign Trade, the Forum will be attended by business and political representatives from around the world. So far, more than 1,500 people from 56 countries, including foreign media representatives, have applied.
The business programme includes plenary sessions, thematic discussions and round tables which, according to a statement from the Uzbek Embassy in Spain, “will highlight the investment, trade, industry, transport and transit potential of Uzbekistan and the countries of the region, new measures to implement socio-economic reforms, government priorities for the strategic development of the country, promotion of the private sector, strengthening of international relations and other areas”.
The Forum will also feature presentations on investment and trade opportunities in various sectors and regions of Uzbekistan, prospects for the development of the financial market, measures for the modernisation and digitalisation of national industry, trade liberalisation and the country’s integration into regional and international markets.
The Forum is also presented as an ideal platform for bilateral meetings and negotiations in G2G, G2B and B2B format to discuss prospects and practical aspects of further mutually beneficial cooperation on common projects and initiatives.
