The Instituto de Seguridad y Cultura presents its new book, La influencia de los países árabes en Europa (The Influence of Arab Countries in Europe), on 17 March at 12 noon at the Asociación de la Prensa of Madrid.
The presentation will take the form of a round table discussion with the participation of Florentino Portero, coordinator of the book and professor of Contemporary History at the UNED; Diego Crescente, international analyst and co-author of the book; Carlos Echeverría Jesús, professor of International Relations at the UNED, director of the Ceuta and Melilla Observatory and co-author of the book; Orfeo Suárez, editor-in-chief of the Sports section of El Mundo and co-author of the book, and Marta García Outón, coordinator of the Instituto de Seguridad y Cultura.
During the presentation, the conclusions on the different aspects dealt with in the book will be reviewed: the implications of the current Arab foreign policy, paying special attention to the case of the Gulf countries and their relationship with Spain and the analysis of the Maghreb scenario; the importance of Arab sovereign wealth funds in Europe; the religious question; and the entry of Arab influence through sport.
