ICEX Spain Exports and Investments opens next March 14 the call for the forty-seventh promotion of ICEX Business Internationalization Scholarships to train young professionals in this field and enhance their employability.
The program responds to the needs that companies have expressed in their international expansion process and its ultimate goal is to support the internationalization of companies through the training of professionals, according to the Spanish public business entity in charge of promoting the internationalization of Spanish companies. The call for applications, which will be open until April 7, will consist of three phases: a university master’s degree, an internship in a commercial office and an internship in a company.

A maximum of 288 candidates will be admitted to this phase. The course begins on October 3, 2022 and ends the week of September 25, 2023 with the reading of the final dissertation before a panel of judges.
Phase 1 corresponds to the internship in the network of Spanish economic and commercial offices abroad. It will take place during 12 months, from January to December 2024. It will be open to up to 275 candidates. During this phase, the scholarship holders will receive an annual allowance, which on this occasion ranges, depending on the destination, between 21,300 and 42,800 euros gross per year.
Phase 2 is dedicated to the internship period in international companies, entities or organizations, both in Spain and abroad. It will begin in the first quarter of 2025. It will be open to those who have successfully completed the previous phase of internships in economic and commercial offices.
