The woman I am. 7 Romanian women architects and their works is the name of the exhibition dedicated to Romanian architecture that is coming to the city of Logroño from 3 to 27 March to celebrate Women’s History Month, organised by the Instituto Cultural Rumano. The presentation will take place tomorrow at 12.30 p.m. at the College of Architects of La Rioja (Casa Palacio del Marqués de Legarda, Calle Barriocepo, 40).
In collaboration with the Union of Romanian Architects (UAR), the Official Association of Architects of La Rioja (COAR) and the Cultural Foundation of the Architects of La Rioja, with the support of the Romanian Consulate General in Bilbao, an exhibition dedicated to women with remarkable results in Romanian architecture is being held for the first time in this Riojan city, and is divided into three sections: The Pioneers, Women Architects of the Post-war Period and Contemporary Women Architects.
The exhibition presents, through a selection of photographs and texts, the work of Romanian women architects, from the pioneers of Romanian architecture in the interwar and post-war periods to the most representative names of the new generations. The architects included in the exhibition are: Queen Maria of Romania, Virginia Andreescu Haret, Henrietta Delavrancea, Ioana Grigorescu, Silvia Demeter-Lowe, Eliza Yokina and Ilinca Păun Constantinescu.
