On 3 March at 8 p.m., the Instituto Italiano de Cultura in Madrid will host the second event in the In Scena A Palazzo cycle, in collaboration with the Bianca D’Aponte Prize, an extraordinary concert in which four Italian female talents will represent different moments in the history of the Prize.
Two special guests, Andrea Mirò (pictured), a former patron of the Prize, and double bassist and composer Ferruccio Spinetti, will perform alongside four of the winners of past editions: Erica Boschiero, Francesca Incudine, Veronica Marchi and Cristiana Verardo.
The Bianca D’Aponte Prize is a competition for emerging Italian female singer-songwriters, now in its 17th edition, and is part of the activities promoted by the Associazione Musicale ONLUS Bianca d’Aponte for the dissemination of musical culture. The competition, open to any musical genre and to songs both in Italian and in Italian dialects, was born to express one’s own art, to create moments in which record labels and artists can confront each other. Ten songs are selected as finalists and the winner receives a scholarship. The jury of critics will also award another prize. Free admission, with prior booking request, writing to confirmaciones.iicmadrid@gmail.com and indicating name, surname and telephone contact of all persons for whom the booking is requested and in the subject “3 MARCH”. Reservations until 2 March.
