The Discover Central Europe Networking Day, a workshop that will bring together top tourism and marketing leaders from the four countries that make up the Visegrad Group (Hungary, Czech Republic, Slovakia and Poland), together with leading members of the world’s tourism industry, will be held at the Budapest Hilton Hotel on Thursday 24 February.
“The recovery of the tourism sector will continue with the resumption of flights, say the organisers, and people from all over the world have started this year planning new trips, new experiences and new discoveries. The aim of the networking is to promote Central Europe as a region rich in unique UNESCO monuments, world-renowned spas, authentically preserved historic cities and places of breathtaking natural beauty”.
The Discover Central Europe networking workshop will feature meetings with local partners from the V4 countries, who will bring and refresh their tourism offers for this region. The Visegrad Group countries share historical roots and cultural traditions, but at the same time, each has its own identity. Discover Central Europe will be a great opportunity to discover the region as a whole and to understand its potential.
First of all, a panel discussion will be moderated by Eszter Uzoni, Head of Communication of Visit Hungary, and welcomed by László Könnyid, Deputy Director General, on behalf of the Hungarian Tourism Agency. Frantisek Reismüller, Director of Representations and B2B Cooperation, Czech Tourist Board; Artur Pielasek, Deputy Director of the Marketing Department, Polish Tourist Board; Miriam Bencikova, Director of the Marketing Department, Slovak Tourist Board; and Zsuzsa Szégner, Director of the International Relations Department, Hungarian Tourist Agency/Visit Hungary will also take part in the event.
The organisers’ statement concludes: “The optimism to plan for the future, the determination to work and think together, as well as the flexibility to focus on solutions are values that, together with diversity, unite our efforts to revitalise tourism.
