The Minister of Education and Vocational Training, Pilar Alegría, received yesterday at the Ministry’s headquarters the Ambassador of the French Republic in Spain, Jean-Michel Casa, with whom she discussed, among other issues, the promotion of French language teaching in Spain.
At the meeting, the representatives of the Ministry – Pilar Alegría, the Secretary of State for Education, Alejandro Tiana, and the Secretary General for Vocational Training, Clara Sanz – discussed with Jean-Michel Casa “the promotion of the teaching of French in Spain, the mobility of teachers and students and cooperation in the field of vocational training,” as reported by the Embassy through its Twitter account.
The Embassy also recalled that the meeting was held “almost a year after” the Montauban Spanish-French Summit, held on March 15, 2021 in this town in the southwest of France and in the course of which several agreements and memoranda of understanding were adopted on university mobility and recognition of university degrees, distance approval of the double degree of Bachillerato and Baccalauréat and promotion of Spanish and French in France and Spain.
