La Bohème, by Giacomo Puccini, can be seen at the Teatro Marquina in Madrid from 16 to 27 February 2022 in 10 unique performances. The opera classic returns with a spectacular and innovative staging created and directed by Emiliano Suárez and featuring Spanish soprano Ainhoa Arteta.

Set in 19th century Paris, it tells the story of four young bohemians living in a garret in the city’s Latin Quarter. Cold and poverty mark the days of the painter Marcello, the poet Rodolfo, the musician Schaunard and the philosopher Colline, who, together with the sweet and naive seamstress Mimí and the provocative singer Musetta, form the small universe in which they try to develop their talents.

With an imaginative and innovative set design, and an attractive and contemporary setting, this production, this version concentrates the plot in two hours of fast-paced action and musical beauty, with some of the most acclaimed lyric voices in Spain, with a long career in the best opera houses around the world, who have come together to offer the public this proposal of the highest quality and bring opera to new audiences, while satisfying the expectations of the most demanding fans of the lyric genre. Tickets can be purchased at this link.
